Group

Research group

Our research covers earthquake engineering, bridges and tunnels, ground-motion simulation and infrastructure resilience. We emphasize well-defined questions, computational skills, English-language reading and regular writing.

01

Research process

Students identify a research direction early and develop their work through literature review, model reproduction, progress presentations and manuscript writing.

02

Skills development

Training focuses on finite-element modelling, data processing, ground-motion analysis, reading research papers in English, academic writing and engineering judgement.

03

Student work

This section covers student publications, competitions, graduate destinations and research progress.

04

Collaboration

We welcome collaboration with teams working on bridges, tunnels, underground structures, geotechnical earthquake engineering and high-performance computing.
